Where BPA and RPA handle structured, rule-based work, IPA handles the complex, variable work that previously required human review.

How is IPA different from BPA and RPA?

BPA automates structured workflows across API-connected systems. RPA uses software robots that mimic human UI actions for legacy systems without APIs. IPA combines both with AI (NLP, computer vision, and machine learning) to handle unstructured data and variable decisions like invoice extraction, email triage, and exception handling.

What is N8N and how does it work?

N8N is an open-source workflow automation platform that connects applications through a visual, node-based editor. Each node is an action such as reading a file, calling an API, sending an email, or updating a record, and workflows chain nodes to automate multi-step processes.
